More news

Hi anyone who reads this. I am on the Dukan diet and as I am an over weight Chef I thought that it would be interesting to blog my weight loss. I started the diet at 19stone 7. As we speak I am 18 stone 5 and 4 weeks in. I am very pleased with the way it is going.

Day 10

I have made it to day 10 I can now have vegetables yaho.
I have so looked forward to this one day veg one back to protiens.
I have lost the stone I wanted so now i can work on the next 4 stone. Hopefuly it will all be gone by the end of the summer.Its my birthday soon so there you go.

Day 6

Sorry that I did not do a blog this morning as I was very busy but I have lost some more weight now down to 1810.I have done some modification to the gallet recipie and have added garlic and added cury paste to make narn bread. I have to find something to have at breakfast ham poached eggs and gallets is getting boring.

Day 5 PM

Had salmon fillets for supper, with a dressing made from Fromage frai,coriander,chili peppers and fresh ginger.
Tasted great. I think that I have to make some form of dressing for my meals as they are too dry and boring. I cant wait to taste some veg something other than protein it's strange as I love meat but all the time umm but that is not until Monday.
Time for bed see you all tomorrow.

Day 5 AM

Up and at atom woke this morning feeling full of the what ever of spring. Got on the scales and still 1812. Trying not to feel too disappointed but it is getting me down. they say you will loose weight at different rates well it's about time I lost some more. Plenty of walking today and try drinking more water. It makes you very weak in the legs. Must say that I do not feel bloated any more and to be fair I have lost what the book said I would. Well off to work and I will return with the PM version.

Day 4 PM

well hi everyone,still going strong.
 I have to make this diet as interesting as possable because it has to work at all cost . After the operation last year I have gone from a D of E assesore always out and about to a fat slob who has put on 3 stone in weight.
I am trying to get 1 good walk a week and a 20 min walk every day.
I am starting to miss things like my haribo's , cheese and bisc and a beer.No point worring to much as I going to have to wait till later befor I can have them again.
I hav'n't lost anymore wieght  today but I an sure that I will.
Anyway good night and I look forward to the scales in the morning.

The chefonthedukandiet

I know this seems strange that I have jumpt from day 1 to 4 in one fail swoop but I only set up the blog this morning and it took longer than I thought.
For breakfast I have amended the gallet to include some seasoning that at least gives them some taste. and with my 2 poached eggs and sliced ham a harty breakfast was had.
 I must say I have lost wieght since day one.
  I am know 18 stone 12 lbs , like the overture.
I think there should be a special meddle for peeing with this diet and I will award myself it .
Although not much happerning anywere else.
I do still feel crasdhingly tied this is to be expected though.It will get better I am told. I am being coached by Kate who has done the diet and succseded and is a great help. I have spiced up all my protien dishes and have to say that I have not realy missed anything yet. This attack stage will finish on day 12 and I go to 1 day protien 1 day veg and protien until  I reach my goal wieght of 14stone 9 lbs. Dukan recon on it being about August time.

Day 1

Well here we are .
My name is Jon and I am a head chef at a leading private girls school and I am 19 stone and 6lbs.
There are loads of excuses for being this weight but i am determined not to get to 20 stone at any cost.
So here I am at the Dukan diet door.
I always said that it was not for me but needs must I have tried everything else other than a gastric band and will not have that.
I have put in my details to the " check your weight ", bought the book and have started the attack diet.
Proteins only and a gallet that can only be described as kissing your Granny on a bad day totally tasteless.
I hope that people who are already on the diet and people wanting to start it or are looking for a diet will read this and input something.
Oh well there you go we havw started onwards and thinner.
